Job Description

Job Purpose

To assist and work with Compliance Monitoring Auditor grade I (Engineering) in performing periodic audits of engineering functions, facilities and inspection of aircraft and components. To assist in assessing the airworthiness standards and the quality of work produced by the engineers, mechanics meet the requirements of the airline and the GCAA, EASA and other National Aviation Authorities? (NAA?s) regulations.


Job Outline

  • To assist in the review all GCAA, EASA and other NAA?s regulations to access their effect on Emirates Engineering Approvals in order to assure that regulatory requirements and standards are maintained and to pre-empt any effect on Emirates approvals and aircraft to ensure continuous unaffected operation.
  • To assist in the review existing Engineering Procedures and any amendments which are necessary due to changes in applicable regulatory requirements, aircraft technical configuration or changes in maintenance activities through development of capabilities. To produce necessary regulatory Manuals (Expositions, Compliance Manuals, Engineering Procedures Manual) as necessary for the continuation of regulatory approvals.
  • To issue company authorizations to engineers, technicians and mechanics.
  • To assist in performing audits, record any non-conformances and recommend corrective measures when necessary of all engineering functions, Continuous Airworthiness Management, Engineering Outstations (EK and supporting airlines), Suppliers, Maintenance, Overhaul, Technical Services, Stores and other support sections in order to ensure that the functions are in conformity with GCAA, EASA regulations as specified in the schedules of approvals granted to Emirates Engineering.
  • To assist in monitoring the quality of work produced by licensed engineers, approved technician and mechanics meets the requirement of the airline in terms of operational safety.
  • To assist in the review of regulations pertaining to validity of licenses, approvals held by engineers and run a system of up-dating each individual's file in view of training and certification enhancement. To recommend the issue of approvals/authorizations to engineers, technicians and third party agencies for the maintenance release of aircraft.
  • To participate in the review of all UAE/GCAA regulations and their effect on Emirates Engineering procedures in order that working standards are kept.
  • To to provide guidance to the organization with their investigation and identification of probable cause of reported findings and review and when satisfied recommend closure of the finding when the corrective actions and preventative measures implemented by the appropriate business area are considered satisfactory to ensure the highest standards of airworthiness are maintained.
  • To provide assistance, support and produce reports for all Export C of As, Transfer of Titles, Aircraft De-registrations and Non Incident Statements for the EK Fleet.


Qualifications & Experience:


Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)

Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship

7+ years experience working in an aircraft engineering environment, preferably with experience in a Compliance Monitoring or Regulatory environment.


Knowledge/skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of airworthiness, air legislation and modern quality assurance techniques.
