Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Website Maintenance:

  • Regularly monitor and maintain the functionality of our websites, ensuring smooth user experiences across various devices and browsers.
  • Update website content, images, and multimedia elements to reflect the latest information, products and services across the DSV Group.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including broken links, loading problems, and other user-facing errors.

2. Performance Optimization:

  • Conduct thorough performance analyses to identify areas for improvement in website speed, responsiveness, and overall performance.
  • Implement strategies to optimize website loading times, minimize page bloat, and enhance user engagement.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in web optimisation and apply them to continuously improve website performance.

3. Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify relevant search terms and trends that align with our business goals.
  • Develop and implement on-page SEO strategies, including optimizing meta tags, headers, and content to improve organic search rankings.
  • Collaborate with content creators to ensure that website content is optimized for search engines while maintaining high-quality user experiences.
  • Monitor and analyse website traffic, rankings, and other relevant SEO metrics to assess the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Stay informed about search engine algorithm updates and adapt strategies to maintain and improve search visibility.

4. Technical SEO:

  • Perform reviews of websites to identify and address issues that could impact search engine crawling and indexing.
  • Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, and other technical aspects to ensure optimal crawling and indexing.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports on website performance, SEO metrics, and optimization efforts, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Web Development, Digital Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in website management, optimization, and SEO, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), content management systems (e.g., Sitecore).
  • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, SEMrush) and their practical application.
  • Knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, both within the team and with cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and algorithm changes in the SEO landscape.
