The open position in our team requires a product owner with expertise or familiarity in Airline Operations. The primary responsibilities involve providing insights and refining the backlog for Below the Wings products of the airline and oversees the full life cycles of various critical areas such as Ramp Reconciliation, Vehicle Management & Passenger & Pilot Transportation Management. As an Airline Operations Product Owner, you will have experience of on-board service systems or knowledge of in-flight and cabin systems and processes such as IFE, on-board retail, Wi-Fi connectivity etc. preferably within a large international airline or a service provider to airlines and/or aviation companies. You will act as the bridge between the software engineering teams and your stakeholders. You will help to define the vision of the products we create; drive the planning, prioritization and execution of backlogs and deliver new features that support our strategic goals.

In This Role, You Will

• Support the Technical Product Manager and Stakeholders driving the roadmap, based on insights, and champion this across your engineering teams
• Drive product development through your engineering and scrum teams
• Write user stories, prioritize backlogs, manage release activities and support sprint ceremonies
• Define detailed use cases, product requirements, and technical specs needed to support roadmap initiatives.
• Set product objectives, define success metrics and deliver business outcomes, ensuring KPIs and targets are met
• Continuously innovate and iterate as you deliver your roadmap in order to provide the best product and solutions possible
• Ensure effective collaboration across a diverse range of teams and stakeholders to balance the needs and priorities of the business and our customers.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, delivery, architecture, and business partners
• Deliver world class user journeys that our customers value
• Be a part of our Product community, focusing on collaboration and identifying opportunities of improvement and growth.
• Be able to analyze business functionality changes and determine features and stories that clearly articulate the full range of amendments/enhancements that need to be done to both vendor and in-house systems.
• Refine user stories elaborating them clearly with detailed acceptance criteria, dependencies etc. highlighted.
• Document process flows to illustrate to-be states and changes to information flow.
• Conduct discoveries/feasibilities that potentially lead to RFI/RFT with the ability to manage those to conclusion with detailed vendor evaluations.
• Own the entire lifecycle of the Product including but not limited to the product roadmap, associated dependencies etc.
• At times be required to engage, drive and manage vendor priorities and activities pertaining to your prioritized backlog.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

You'll have an edge if you have: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in product ownership/management in a team facing capacity

• Whilst not essential, some experience of working within an agile environment, across multiple initiatives and teams
• Appetite for building and identifying value, with a customer centric mind-set.
• Well-versed with the tools for the Product Management aspects of software delivery
• Possess strong communication skills and be able to enthusiastically convey your Product Vision to stakeholders and effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
• A positive attitude and an ability to drive discernible change and delivery, at pace, in a pressurized environment
• Build strong relationships with peers and team members
• Agile and innovative mind-set with the tenacity to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment.

• In cross-functional squads - (Product Owner + Scrum Master + Developers + QAs),
• We work within the Atlassian suite, maintaining our backlogs in JIRA and leveraging Confluence for knowledge management
• Customer centric mind-set, the customer is the focal point of delivering products, services, and experiences.
• Leveraging your domain knowledge and experience to solve complex business problems and support them in achieving their goals
