About The Role

GHD Advisory group has a phenomenal opportunity for a Senior Advisor to join, support and drive forward our Public Policy and Government Transformation services, supporting our track focused on government transformation and capacity building.

Working with the Public Policy and Government Transformation Lead, this position offers the opportunity to lead a varied range of innovative projects focused on driving government performance through the lens of people and organizations, and to support the development of a growth portfolio in GHDs business.

The position is offered as part of the EMEA GHD Advisory team and may reside within any of our UAE offices.

Core Responsibilities

  • Supporting our clients in operating more effectively both at an organizational and sector level to drive performance and better serve their communities.
  • Leading project delivery and managing project teams focused on government transformation and capacity building.
  • Inputting into business development activities and leading proposals to provide technical support to win and deliver projects.
  • Developing project methodology on topics related to organizational design, governance, operating model, capacity building, leadership development and organizational and sector level strategy design and implementation.
  • Supporting the Public Policy and Government Transformation team lead and Advisory lead in identifying and cultivating new client opportunities with GHDs existing client base as well as new ones.
  • Provide robust analysis to clients to support improved or new ways of building their organizations, cultivating their talent, and improving service delivery.
  • Work closely with our client project teams, providing end-to-end support to the clients.
  • Supporting across the Public Policy & Government Transformation practice, as needed.
  • Develop professionally within a progressive consultancy environment in an entrepreneurial growth stage.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • A passion for helping government institutions at the organizational and teams levels to improve performance, service delivery, and public outcomes for the communities they serve.
  • Bachelors degree: Business, Organizational Management or Psychology, Political Science, Public Policy, Engineering (with experience working directly with government partners), or related degree preferred.
  • Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience working on organizational design, operating model development, governance, strategy, leadership development, change, and/or similar disciplines. Experience working specifically with government clients and a previous consultancy background in the MENA region, highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with people across all levels in an organization
  • Good commercial and financial awareness on projects
  • Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in establishing relationships
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas optimally, both verbally and in writing
  • Confidence to work effectively in a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills; e.g. relates well to colleagues, clients and business contacts, and can influence to achieve positive results.
