About The Job
Responsible for conducting and reviewing Health, Safety and Environmental Impact Assessments (HSEIA) for ADNOC Distribution projects and operations. Ensure that the HSEIA process is aligned with the ADNOC Group HSE Standards and the applicable regulatory requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to the project teams and stakeholders on HSEIA related matters.
Key Accountabilities
HSEIA Process and Compliance
- Prepare and review HSEIA reports and related documents for ADNOC Distribution projects and operations.
- Coordinate and facilitate the HSEIA screening and scoping process for the assigned projects and operations.
- Conduct and participate in HSEIA studies, such as baseline surveys, risk assessments, environmental impact assessments, social impact assessments, etc.
- Ensure that the HSEIA recommendations and mitigation measures are incorporated into the project design, execution, and operation phases.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of the HSEIA action plans and closure of the HSEIA findings.
- Conduct HSEIA audits and assurance to verify the compliance with the HSEIA requirements and standards.
- Review and endorse the HSEIA reports and documents prepared by the contractors and consultants.
- Lead, conduct and participate in all PHA workshops.
HSEIA Communication and Coordination
- Liaise and communicate with the ADNOC Group HSE, the regulatory authorities and other relevant stakeholders on HSEIA related matters.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the project teams and stakeholders on HSEIA related matters.
- Prepare and submit HSEIA reports and statistics to the management and the ADNOC Group HSE.
- Participate in the HSEIA committees and forums within the ADNOC Group and the industry.
HSEIA Improvement and Development
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the HSEIA process and performance.
- Develop and deliver HSEIA training and awareness programs for the staff and contractors.
- Support the development and implementation of the HSEIA management system and policies.
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and solutions for HSEIA improvement.
- Perform HSEIA risk analysis and contingency planning for emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Environment Science or related discipline
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in HSEIA preferable 2 years within the oil and gas or retail fuel industry.
- Knowledge of the ADNOC Group HSEIA Procedure and the applicable regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of the HSEIA methodologies, tools and best practices.
- Skills in HSEIA report writing, data analysis and presentation.
- Skills in HSEIA auditing and inspection.
- Skills in communication, coordination and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in English language.
