JOB Summary

The Area Accountant is responsible for monthly close and other basic accounting responsibilities related to reconciliation, AR & AP, VAT, Tax.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare tax invoices which are to be in line with VAT compliance.
• Attach the delivery docs & PO copies to each invoice as per customer requirements.
• Dispatch the invoices to customer as per their requirements (either by email, or courier)
• Record the invoices in customer portals including SANAD
• Prepare manual proforma invoices for advance payment customers.
• Invoice cash application of the payments received from customers.
• Support the ARM preparations.
• Assist in monthly close process and ensure proper documentation and filing of support information
• Assist in calculating and preparing journal entries for local transactions as indicated in the monthly close checklist
• Assist in review of monthly financial statements and assist in preparation of variance analysis against forecast and prior month
• Assist in preparation of balance sheet reconciliation
• Assist in management of audit (internal, external and statutory)
• Assist in operational financial and capital analysis
• Assist in preparation of inter-company reconciliation
• Preparation of accounting and administration reports as and when needed
• Assist with/coordinate special projects as and when needed
• Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• University degree business/accounting, preference for professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA
• Fluency in English
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 or more years in Finance or Accounting
• Oracle & Hyperion experience preferred
• Multinational business familiarity essential
